Hi, everyone.

Today I am sharing with you Christmas decorations around Bandung. I am sure lots of you want to have that very Christmas-y pics to post on the 25th of December and if you don't really decorate your house, the easiest way to have a Christmas-y pic without splurging on all those Christmas decorations, to find places that have beautiful Christmas decorations around Bandung.

First up is restaurants. The the top 3 restaurants that always have impeccable decorations around Christmas time are Buttercup Boulangerie at Four Points Hotel, Gormeteria at Pasir Kaliki, and a newcomer this year, Baby Dutch at Ciumbeleuit.

Year after year Buttercup never disappoints. They also decorate for other events like Chinese New Year. Would def high recommend this place since parking is spacious and food is pretty good as well.

A newcomer from last year is Baby Dutch and their Christmas decoration does go quite viral this year. I personally never been to Baby Dutch but I only heard good things.

Another restaurant that never disappoints in terms of decoration and have the best food is Gormeteria. Place is very nice and food is always good but parking is always terrible. No matter day or night, weekday or weekend, parking is always an issue. I personally haven't been here this year because I heard it is fully booked until New Year.

Second, when it comes to Christmas decorations, hotels are not a bad idea as well. Here are few pics from Pullman Hotel this year.

We had a wedding to attend at the hotel so we sneaked a few quick pics after the reception.

Last option to take your Christmas pics is the malls. They might not have grand decoration, but they are still not bad at all.

This one is from Paris van Java PVJ Mall Bandung. I know it doesn't look like much, but at night, the tree lights up beautifully. Parking is also very spacious but then again, with malls, it is always difficult to find parking at weekend. So best to go there before this weekend at night.

For 23 Mall, I don't see much decorations but I did take this pic in front of Scoop and it turns out pretty cute.

Anyway, I hope you all will have a lovely Christmas weekend with your loved ones. And if you don't have anyone to celebrate with, it is perfectly fine! A party of one can be fun too. You can do whatever you want on a Christmas day. Don't feel pressured to do what everyone else is doing.

 Hi, everyone.

With the holiday season in full swing, and all the meet ups and the parties coming up, it is no secret that we all gained the five pounds holiday weight. However, I'm sure we all still want to look our best without having to restrict ourselves during those dinner parties. The easiest way to do that is to wear the right shape wear under your outfit. I would say it is the must have item for this holiday season; wholesale waist trainer with logo.

A waist trainer is a good idea especially if you like the 1950s dresses and skirt. A waist trainer is not too restrictive and allow you to move with more freedom. I do have to say, I love my waist trainer especially for wearing a full circle skirts. It really enhances your silhouette to create that small waist look that the 1950s are very famous for.

While waist trainer is a great option, but a plus size shapewear bodysuit will give your body a more slimmer appearance since it will hold in your waist, tummy, and tights at the same time. Seamless bodysuit is essential if you like wearing tight clothing. It will give the smooth appearance to your overall silhouette while also making you look smaller. A nude color is the best option since it will not cast a shadow on light colored clothing.

But then again, no one is obliged to look a certain way. I only wear my waist trainer because I want it. Please don't feel pressured to look a certain way this holiday season. It is already a great thing that we are alive to celebrate at all with all the pandemic that has been going on for the past two years. Let's make sure we also thank our body for still being alive without looking a certain way.

Hi, everyone.
With Christmas is less than two weeks away, I want to share three ways to wear red pants in this holiday season. Red pants are a fun alternative than a skirt or a dress and it is super functional as well. I would say, a pair of red pants can get you through this holiday season with ease.

For the first look, I paired it with an elbow length sweater with a collar. Collared sweater is a big hit this fall and it appears to continue its popularity this holiday season. This is a preppy casual look perfect for a work party or even for visiting the in-laws.

For outfit number two, I paired the pants with some emerald green blouse for a full-on holiday looks that will sure turn heads. I also donned a drop earrings to complete the look. This outfit will be great for a slightly dressier event like maybe a church service or even brunch with your big family.

For the third look, I paired this red pants with another black top, but this time it is a one shoulder blouse that instantly gives this outfit a sophisticated and chic vibe. Perfect for a night event or dinner party with family and friends.

I do hope everyone staying safe and avoid crowds this year as well since we are still in the middle of a pandemic.

Homeownership is one of the common things that many people strive toward. The process of buying a home isn't the easiest. You'll not only need to worry about finding the right property, but also your finances.
If you're starting your home buying journey, then this might feel overwhelming. It could even be anxiety-inducing. With the various things you'll have to take care of, that could feel even worse.
Knowing what you're doing from the start will avoid much of this. While there are multiple obvious things you should know, such as comparing mortgage quotes, a few aren't so obvious.

What To Know When Buying A Home
Maintain Your Credit

Your credit report will be one of the first things a bank looks at when they're deciding on your mortgage. That could lead you to open a new line of credit. You shouldn't do that, as it could risk your chances of being approved. Instead, you should maintain and improve your credit rating without taking any more loans.
Paying things off early and not defaulting on debts will be natural ways to help with that. You could also try various other ways to maintain and improve your credit.

Don't Skip Pre-Approval

When most people are buying a home, they jump right into house hunting. As easy as that is to understand, it could be a mistake. You could be skipping a step.
Getting pre-approval for a mortgage should be the first thing you do. A pre-approval is when a bank preliminarily agrees to give you a mortgage of a specific amount.
While they could change their mind, they rarely do. That'll let you know exactly how much you can borrow. The last thing you'll want is to find the home of your dreams before realizing you can't afford it.

Remember Closing Costs

While the down payment is the largest thing you'll have to hand over when buying a home, it isn't the only one. Instead, you could have to pay some closing costs.
These can vary from property to property, both in what costs you might need to pay and how much they'll be. The most notable of these are :
  • Appraisal Fees
  • Attorney Fees
  • Escrow Fees
  • Pest Inspection Fees
You should make sure to budget for these in advance. You wouldn't want to delay buying the home or risk losing out on it. These will typically range between 2% and 5% of the property's cost.

Buying A Home Essentials : Wrapping Up
Buying a home can be a stressful experience. Once you've stepped through the threshold after getting through the buying process, it'll be more than worth it. You shouldn't be overly anxious about this. Proper planning and knowing what you're doing from the start will be more than helpful. Budgeting, knowing what kind of property you want, and much more will be part of this. You shouldn't overlook each of the above, however. They can be essential steps in your home buying journey. While it might take a while to do, it's worth the investment.
If you're feeling stressed, you could try de-stressing in a few ways once you've moved in. Once you do, you'll be much more relaxed.

Hi, everyone.
Since it is now December, I want to share with you two white outfits for this Christmas. I always like white dresscode for Christmas since it makes you look fresh and clean despite the fact that I only get 5 hours of sleep prior to taking these pics.

Hi, everyone.
My husband and I went to Eighteen Coffee Bandung located at Jalan Cemara a few days ago. It is relatively new; I believe Eighteen Coffee Bandung is not even a year old. I do love the mostly white walls with tons of arches. I love me some good arches.
Parking is quite spacious! Which is always a plus. Place itself is nothing special but still pretty cool for Bandung standard. We went there on a Thursday and Eighteen Coffee Bandung wasn't too crowded.

Hi, everyone.
I actually wanted to include this leather blazer trend in my what to wear for fall series a.k.a my Fall Lookbook but I failed to find one that fits my style and my budget. I stumbled upon this blazer while browsing through the Zalora app for their 11.11 sale (this blazer wasn't on sale tho, only a free shipping voucher available) so I decided to bit the bullet and bought one.
Mine is not made of real leather so it does have a bit too much of a shine but it looks fine on a cloudy day like the day I took these pics. This leather blazer does look better at night tho. It is very warm! Would actually wear this for a trip to a cold country.

Hi, everyone.
Last month my husband and I went to Maison Teraskita Cafe Bandung located at Jalan Asia Afrika. This cafe is actually an extension of its hotel Maison Teraskita. Went here because I was fascinated with the Parisian vintage cafe vibe this place has and it did not disappoint.
We went on a Monday so the place was basically empty. Only one more family was there.

Hi, everyone.
Last week I went on a hot air balloon ride with Indonesia Terbang. It was a tethered ride, so we actually stayed in one place but it was fun nonetheless; since it was our first time riding a hot air balloon. We are not sponsored in any way, we all paid with our own money.

The prom is the highlight of the year for all the students and this tradition was born in America in the 1900s and was regarded as the first social event as an adult. It started in colleges and soon worked its way down to high school; students saw this as an opportunity to introduce themselves to the older college kids and over the years, the prom dance grew to become the major social event on the high school student's calendar.

For the girls, the most important thing is the dress, and with that in mind, here are a few common prom dress fails to avoid at all costs.

  • Don't Do Dress Shopping In A Group - While it's perfectly natural to want some moral support when choosing your gown, online shopping with friends can quickly turn into a free-for-all. Everyone's got an opinion and they won't be shy too let you know their thoughts on the matter and you could easily end up with a dress that Suzy loves! The best idea is to start with a Google search for online prom dress stores and start copying images that you like. Send a few single trusted friend and base your choice on her response.
  • Ordering Too Late - It's easy to 'umm' and 'aah' and before you know it, the prom date is approaching and you still haven't committed to a dress. Allow 7 days for delivery when buying from a known online designer dress boutique, then you need another few days for a local seamstress to carry out the minor adjustments that are needed to make it a perfect fit.
  • Bra And Pantie Lines - If you're going to wear a tight-fitting slinky number, the last thing you want is ugly underwear lines, so do seek out underwear that doesn't show through. A full dress rehearsal is recommended. If you find it difficult to fit into the dress, consider some serious undergarments, as long as you're comfortable.
  • Overspending - You have to be very disciplined with the money; don't even bother to look at the high end, unless you can drop $10,000 without thinking about it. The online designer dress has stunning prom dresses from top designers such as Sherri Hill and Jovani, to name but a couple, and their creations are realistically affordable (your mom can help). Let's not forget that this dress can be worn on many occasions in the next few years, so it most definitely isn't a single-wear outfit. That said, you don't need to go into debt to find the perfect prom dress!

Most girls start browsing prom dresses online and sooner or later, discover the perfect dress. then you can move onto accessories and shoes, of course. Listen to your inner self and use friends for some reassurance, we nearly forgot the most important thing of all, the prom is supposed to be a fun thing, so once you've chosen your outfit, let your hair down and don't worry about how you look!

Planning a trip down under? Australia boasts loads of cities, towns, and fantastic tourist destinations. It's a big country with plenty to do all over, so part of your job is deciding where to stay. Which city - or cities - are worth your time and will provide you with the best overall experience? Let's take a look. . .

Hi, everyone.
These post is dedicated to my latest (well, in the past six months or so) thrift finds. It is a very competitive field since there is only one item per style so I don't always get what I want BUT here are three items that I got lucky with.

Hi, everyone.
My husband and I went to Nonna Osteria Cafe and Resto located at Jalan Progo Bandung a few weeks ago. This spot used to be Please, Please, Please cafe with their unique pink interior. Now all of the pinks are gone replaced with lots of browns creating a vintage ambience which I do love.
We went there on a Monday and parking was full but inside there were only a few tables filled in. Since the area is quite spacious, we were able to maintain a safe social distancing.

Hi, everyone.
I visited Edelweiss Cafe a few days ago and want to share with you guys. Edelweiss Cafe is located near Universitas Parahyangan Ciumbeleuit, Bandung. We went there on a Friday around 2PM and the place was almost full. There were only three to four empty tables. We naturally choose to sit on the outdoor area for better circulation.

Hi, everyone.
On today' what to wear this fall series; the topic is bucket hat. While beret and fedora are more common and bucket hat might look daunting, it's actually very easy to wear to wear this fall. You can add a bucket hat on any casual outfit and it will really add some fashion point to your overall look. For beginners, I highly recommend a cotton plain one. Just put it on with your favorite t-shirt and jeans and you're good to go. Another tip is to match your hat color with one item on your outfit. It can be your top or your bag or even your skirt.

Hi, everyone.
I went to Critical 11 Bandung last week and I thought the place was pretty cool so I had to share. It is basically a big complex with plenty of tenants from food, drinks, and even a tattoo parlor. Pretty cool, right? Critical 11 Bandung is located near Husein Sastranegara International Airport so you just go like you would go to the airport, and a few hundred meters before airport' entrance, you'll find Critical 11 Bandung entrance.

Hi, everyone.
Today's series of what to wear this fall is collared (aka polo) sweaters. In conclusion, it's your usual knitted sweater but it has collar. This collared sweaters trend were all over the place last year and it seems to continue its wave this year as well. I personally love the preppy feel the collar gives to a casual sweater. It is also a trend that everyone and every age can wear really. Most importantly, this trend is not too trendy, in a way it's kind of timeless. I do love that kind of trend! Just think, everyone layer their shirt underneath their sweater for a long time. And this trend is a very similar look to that.

Hi, everyone.
It has been a minute (thanks to COVID-19) since I did a resto review so without further ado, here is a resto review about Jenderal Kopi Bandung. This place is actually called Jenderal Kopi Nusantara Buwas located at Jalan R.E. Martadinata Bandung but for your convenience, I will refer it just as Jenderal Kopi.

We went there on a Monday around 1.30 PM so we got a table right away. But for weekend, definitely do a reservation first. Eventho we went on a Monday, there were quite some people filled the tables on the first floor but not to the point of crowded. Altho the outdoor area does look quite packed; so we decided to sit upstairs where there were only one other group there.

This outdoor area was reserved for a group.

All the windows on the second floor were opened wide so don't worry about air circulation. All the staff were wearing their mask the entire time we were there which is also important. We even did a car valet since parking were full and the valet driver spray everything from the steering wheel, the chair, and the door handle using alcohol. I do commend them for that.

Place itself is very nice. I do love the tall ceiling and the bar is just gorgeous with its exposed bricks.   Their incredibly spacious area is also a big plus for this pandemic era. Service gets 9 out of 10 from me. I deduct one since there weren't seem to be enough staff that we do need to wait a bit long for everything; from ordering to asking for an extra plate.

We ordered a Linguini Pesto with Garlic Chicken for the price of Rp 70.000 and it was delish! We did went there after lunch so we both share one dish. Waiting time wasn't so bad; since we were busy taking pics and when we got back to our table, both of our drinks were there. Food came out about 10 minutes later.

For drinks, I feel compelled to try out their coffee since the place itself is called Jenderal Kopi so I ordered their Vanilla Latte for Rp 35.000. I do enjoy their vanilla latte. I can taste the coffee for sure and it sure was smooth with a slightly sour aftertaste. I can taste the vanilla as well and the sweetness was just up to my taste.

My husband ordered Jenderal Iced Chocolate for Rp 45.000 and it sure is delicious.

Scan for their menu.

Overall would definitely recommend this place. I might just come for an actual lunch during weekday. To avoid crowd, for sure avoid weekend or dinner time. If possible, just come for lunch on a weekday.
