Arah coffee bandung

Hi, everyone.
Went to Arah Coffee Bandung yesterday. Arah Coffee Bandung recently opened about a month ago I believe. We went to Arah Coffee Bandung on a Monday afternoon so the place was quite empty. But that is also perhaps because the place is incredibly spacious so it just feels empty.

Arah Coffee Bandung interior has clean lines with lots of woods which I don’t really love but I know kids these days are obsessed with this kind of minimalism. And to be honest I don’t hate the minimalist Japan-esque vibes either.

Review Arah coffee bandung

I have to admit I love the big space.
It feels airy and roomy.

So we ordered two drinks and one ice cream.
Left is Kopsu Arahbica (Rp 28k) - husband do not approve. He took a sip and we brought the rest home.
Middle is Strawberry Sundae (Rp 19k) - husband is okay with this. It’s not great but it just taste like your ordinary ice cream with some strawberry jam.
On the right is my Matcha (Rp 33k) - it’s not bad but then again, I’ve had better matcha.

I guess the main attraction of the place is their photogenic spots that almost feels like an art space of some kind. I personally like the vibe of the place, just wish the drinks were better.

Parking was small but it somehow can fit to about six cars. Our drinks come out fast enough. Nothing special about the service. Not sure if I will come back.

Oh, they don’t have any food as per now. Just drinks and some sad-looking cookies.

Bask cafe setiabudi bandung

Hi, everyone.
Went to Bask Cafe & Resto Setiabudi Bandung a few days ago. We actually went on a weekend Bask Cafe Setiabudi Bandung was practically empty. Most likely because it’s new and the location of the cafe is behind some sort of studio so on the front, it just looks like a studio and not a restaurant.
Anyway, first impression I get the feeling that I was in Lembang with all the greens. Which isn’t so bad. Nothing impressive about the interior.

Bask cafe review bandung

We decided to eat at one of terrace. It was quite windy and just before we finished, someone burned trash so we did got some burnt smell. Oh also, when the wind blows, we can smell the sewage which is very much unpleasant. My suggestion is definitely sit at the top near the bar.

Menu makanan bask cafe bdg

We ordered Cafe de Paris Steak (Rp 95k).
It was okay. The butter really helps. Meat is tender enough eventho it was medium well.

We also ordered Spaghetti Bolognaise (Rp 55k).
I do like the sauce. Not so sure about the chicken katsu. A pretty unique combo I guess. The chicken katsu was so so.

Husband ordered Bask Lemonade (Rp 35k).
It was basically matcha + lemon which is a weird combo for me. Def would not recommend.

Overall we had an okay-ish time BUT the waiter didn’t input our food order to the kitchen so we ended up waiting for almost an hour. That was very unprofessional of them. Fortunately the waiter seemed very apologetic and even another waiter apologized when we were paying. They did however, gave us a complimentary ice cream which was nice. My husband loves ice cream. Parking is spacious enough.

Complimentary ice cream.

Didn’t screenshot all the menu but they also have Indonesian food like nasi goreng or sop iga.

Altero Bistronomie Bandung

Hi, everyone.

Visited Altero Bistronomie Bandung for a lunch date on a Sunday. We didn’t book ahead but we did arrive at Altero Bistronomie Bandung around 11.30 so finding a table was easy.

Altero Bistro Bdg

Upon first impression, Altero Bistronomie Bandung looks very nice. It has that classic Italian/French restaurant vibe with all the woods and the flooring and the tiny curtain dividing the booth like tables. We were seated right away and place was actually kinda empty for a Sunday.

Indoor is quite cramped but it does have the cooling air condition. But the outdoor is also quite pleasant with all the space and the tiny fountain.

We ordered two main dish and two drinks.

Mushroom fettucini altero bistronomie bdg

I ordered Mushroom Fettuccini (Rp 70k) and it did not disappoint. The creamy sauce is perfectly balanced. Wish they can include a protein of some kind tho. But if you don’t eat any meat, than this can be an option.

Chicken and mushroom altero bistronomie bdg

Husband ordered Chicken and Mushroom (Rp 75k) and this one is also delicious. The chicken is well seasoned and fragrant without that chicken smell. It was nicely cooked too; not dry and tender. The mushroom is also well seasoned. Overall a great dish but portion is way too small. I would prefer they increased the price and increase the portion size too. Also, I wish they will add a carb of some kind, like a mashed potato would be a good option.

For drinks, my husband ordered Golden Fleece (Rp 55k) and it came in this super fun glass. It tastes good! Sweet and refreshing. Altho with the amount of ice they put, I think we only get about 200ml of drinks.

I ordered Halcyon Days (Rp 45k) mainly because my Animal Crossing Island is named Halcyon but also because the waiter recommend it. At the first few sips it was really good but then after that I started to get bothered with the licorice like aftertaste, it’s the taste you get after drinking cough syrup. If you don’t like licorice, def don’t order this.

Altero Bistronomie Cipaganti Bandung review

Over all we had a pleasant time at Altero Bistronomie Bandung and will definitely come back. Food and drinks come out fast. Service was 10/10. And parking was quite spacious. Best part, it’s not too far from our place.
