Vest for Transitional Summer to Fall Outfit

August is here and that means it times to start digging up our summer to fall transitional clothes. I have been loving vest as a summer to fall transitional outfit lately. While sweater vest is great and I still love them for summer to fall transitional outfit, the trend these days is more of a waistcoat version of the vest. Sweater vest has that laid-back vibe while vests that I mean has a bit more of office/work vibe that can elevate your casual day to day outfit.

Vests have been always a great option for transitional weather because it gives you an extra layer to keep your warm while also adding interest to a simple outfit. Vests these days seem to be more on a shorter, cropped version, giving a more after work chic nuance to your overall look.

For transitional summer to fall outfit, definitely opt for long sleeve and vest. This combo is great for the slightly cooler days in these transitional weather.

Switching jeans with pants and you’ll get a work appropriate look. Such a versatile piece of clothing vest is. Adding a neutral color vest like beige to your wardrobe and you will definitely be using it a lot in this transitional weather.

If the weather gets even colder, adding another layer like blazer also works perfectly with your vest. I would suggest adding a similar color blazer to your vest which is why neutral color vests like black and beige is the best option for summer to fall. I would suggest keeping the white vest for the summer.

Denim vest is also a great option to add an extra layer and extra warmth during this transitional season. It’s super casual but the extra layer create depth to your outfit.  I personally love pairing my denim vest with jeans or denim skirt. Kinda like a Canadian suit.
