This year has been pretty much amazing. I am just so grateful that God has been with me every step of the way all the way to the end of the year.

Highlights from 2011!

This year I went to Singapore 4 times. That's definitely my new record!

It was really difficult to choose the highlights since I had such a good year! Besides above, I also improved my English thanks to TBI,  I also had a chance to studied Korean language, I post more, finally read Bible everyday, prayed everyday, and to be honest, starting to feel like a real Christian :)

Of course, there are downsides. But I'm not going to get all nitty-gritty on the sad part.  To dwell in the past is probably the worst thing you can do to yourself. Past is a good thing. Probably the best thing. It molds you into who you are right now. However, if you cling too much to it, it can destroy you from inside out. So forgive. And forget. Let's open a brand new white leave for 2012 and fill it with colorful and meaningful memories. <3
Currently working on a recap post for 31st December :)
What's your NYE plan? I am settled for a good night sleep. LOL

Bought these shoes on my last trip to Singapore. Pretty much in love with it. It's a perfect finishing for a super simple and comfy outfit which is my favorite daily uniform <3
I also been really into chiffon blouse lately. This blouse is loose and super laid-back but the color and the fabric makes it a little bit more chic ;p

chiffon blouse - bought it from Korea, denim skirt - Topshop, bag - Mango,
watch - Forever21, leopard shoes - Rubi

Just some pictures from Boxing Day. Went for a lunch date with sis at Azzura. Then watched Sherlock Holmes (it was soooo good!). A little tea time at Starbucks. Then off for a karaoke night.
How was Christmas, bloggers? Mine was simple but lovely. Although Christmas is over, I hope everyone stay in the spirit of Christmas throughout the year. Stay full of love, full of compassion, and never lose the desire to give. You give until it hurts, and then.. you give some more. I think as a Christian, we are obligated to be the person who take the high roads. And we know, the high road is high. You can't get into high places without sweat and the energy wasted to climb.

As for the outfit, a little bird once told me to not mix two trendy items in one outfit. That's why I think my outfit today is super risky! But as the saying said it, "The persons who risks nothing, does nothing, has nothing, is nothing, and becomes nothing." - Leo F. Buscaglia. So I thought I just go for it!

Animal prints and skirts with tails are hot this season! Or is it last season? I don't really pay attention actually but since you all are so stylish, I couldn't help but notice :)
I always wanted to try this kind of skirt and when I saw it in maroon color, I just knew that I have to have it. Long story short, here it is, safe and sound in my closet. I am completely head over heels with the color and the chiffon fabric. And when I walk, it flows!! Swoon..  I wonder why it took me so long to try this kind of skirt!
As for the animal prints, I always thought I could never pull off any kind of animal prints except in small quantities. Like a scarf or a pair of shoes (will show my leopard shoes soon! <3) but when my mom bought it for me, I couldn't resist. Who doesn't love free stuff? Score! I do feel a little bit like Jane tho! And with the green background, all I need is a shirtless man with a rope and I'm all set! :D

I feel like posing cool today but failed miserably..

I hope this doesn't look too weird for you! I personally like the way it turns out, how the brown in the animal prints seem to compliment the maroon color.
Anyway, 2011 will soon be over. It's the time to look back and reflect on everything that has happened. The following year will be better if we determined enough to make it better :)

Merry Christmas, lovely bloggers. Wishing everyone a very happy and peaceful Christmas with your loved ones. Just don't forget to go to Church! :)
Anyway, I'll keep this post short and sweet as I know everybody must be busy being merry! <3

sweater - H&M, skirt - vintage from Mom, shoes - Decimal

Merry Kiss-mass! ;p

Look who's making a guest appearance! It's my little sis ;)

If you have noted, I've been reading Everyday Greatness by Stephen R. Covey for almost a week now. I just finished Chapter 5 (Courage) but so far my most favorite chapter is Chapter 2 (Generosity).

The Chapter is open with a quote:
“What do we live for, if it is not to make life less difficult for each other?”
                                         ― George Eliot

This world point of view is to take care of ourselves and mind our own business. How then shall we help others? A lot of people simply said "oh, but I donated tons of money to XYZ charity". It's not wrong of course, and very noble, but generosity is so much more than giving money. It's also about giving our heart, our mind, and our skills in a way thus might help others. As the book said, Generosity is love wrapped in a work-suit. Yes, often you have to sacrifice something to do kindness. As the sayings told all of us "No good deeds go unpunished."

At the end of chapter, there's few quotes to help us understand more about the topic. One of my favorite is the quotes by St. Francis of Assisi :

“Lord, make me an instrument of thy peace.
Where there is hatred, let me sow love,
Where there is injury, pardon;
Where there is doubt, faith;
Where there is despair, hope;
Where there is darkness, light;
And where there is sadness, joy.

O Divine Master, grant that I may not so much seek
to be consoled as to console,
to be understood as to understand,
to be loved, as to love.

For it is in giving that we receive,
It is in pardoning that we are pardoned,
and it is in dying that we are born to eternal life.”
― St. Francis of Assisi

Anyway, just something to ponder on before Christmas is over. Show your generosity to as much as people as you can. Even a smile is giving you know ;)

earrings & watch - Forever21, top - vintage thrifted, skirt - Button Skirt,
shoes - Decimal, clutch - Dorothy Perkins

Just something I'm planning to wear this Christmas Eve <3
I have been waiting for the Christmas time to use my Decimal shoes. I bought it about two months ago but never had a chance to wear them! Well, once, for a Christmas photo shoot with sis (it will be up on Sunday!) I just love the color and how it add a pop of fab-ness (is that a word? LOL) into every outfit I wear :) It seems to be able to take my outfit to a different level!
This skirt is what I mentioned on my last post. This skirt has that delicate feeling that makes me feel like a million dollar. I just adore the lace and tule, it makes me feel slightly like a ballerina! Although unlike any other kid, my childhood dream was to be a farmer with tons of cute farm animals around me. Surrounded by horses, sheep, chickens, and of course, dogs everyday! Weird, I know.

One of my favorite perfume for 2011. I'm thinking to switching to Marc Jacob's Daisy for next year ;p
A spray or two of this never hurts and always boost my confidence <3

I was going to post this yesterday but couldn't find time! I spent the whole day cleaning my closet and gave away 3 pile of clothes with 7 bags and I have one another pile that will go into my store :)
And then it was suddenly 6 o'clock and I completely forgot my mom held a mini Christmas dinner and fellowship until she told me to shower! LOL. It was small and there were only 15 of us but it was really intimate and it pulled me back to the reason why we celebrate Christmas. The born of our saviour, Jesus Christ, instead of about presents and the festivities. Sometimes I do forget and I need something like that to remind myself about the holy reason why we celebrate Christmas.

floppy hat - Chaussure Modest, blouse - vintage thrifted,
skirt - Maize Clothing, wedges - Charles&Keith

Took the pictures about 2 months ago.. I'm not sure why I haven't post it. I surely did not forget about these pics but somehow other pictures slipped in and this one went to draft. ;p
My dad passed by with his car when I took these pictures. He stopped and laughed. I'm pretty sure I made his day. He hates taking pictures! But his mother (RIP, Oma..) LOVES taking pictures just like me, and I know it reminds him how there's a little piece of his mother stay forever in me :)

I bought the picnic basket for no clear reason (I do that a lot) and thought of picnic by the beach every time I lay my eyes on it (currently sitting on top of my closet). Why beach? I'm not sure. I just miss it I guess. I haven't been to the beach for almost 2 years now, I guess..

I know it's strange to stumble upon my blog and view pictures of all summer inspired outfits where everyone in blogsphere seems to be getting in the glamorous party/dinner mood. Worry not, I just purchased the most fabulous skirt ever (lace+tule) and will show it to you on the next post :)

Some people say they are "a bag snob" or "a shoe whore" well..
I supposed I should call my self "a collar obsessed"?
I am finding myself attracted to anything with adorable collar.. Like this top from BonVieux.

tee - BonVieux, shorts - Velvet, shoes - Rubi,
bag - CarloRino, belt - CottonOn

Last minute shopping.. Can you believe this immaculate bracelet is only SGD$7.90??

New shoes! <3

Back at Changi Airport.  How adorable are those AngryBirds statues? Are they really that big? I thought birds are supposed to be small..

Exactly one more hour before it was the time for boarding to the plane ;)

Those are the last set of my trip pictures!
Hopefully you are not tired of me after three days straight of posting!
Now that Christmas break is finally upon me (last exam was Friday!) I have all the free time in my hand so be ready for more posts! (again.. overabused of exclamation point. what can I say? Holiday.. Christmas.. Two of my favorite things!)
Here are the 3rd set of pictures from my trip to Singapore!
I do think it's better to divide it into few different posts instead of just one, don't you think?
It makes me feel less... emm... full of me? LOL

Anyway, it is weekend!
What's your plan?
Mine include cleaning my closet!
It is the end of the year and I want to get rid of stuff that I haven't wear in the last 6 months. Just so my closet can have a little space to breathe :)

As usual.. Powering up for another day of walking and walking and perhaps some shopping?

My 2nd favorite outfit from the trip! (and should I say favorite pic? Look at those lights!)
Dress - BonVieux, blazer - Gowigasa,
bag - CarloRino, sandals - Rubi.

If I were, a jungle fairy, this bed would be my bed. Yes. Completed with a few owl friends singing me lullaby to sleep <3

Such lovely detailing vintage blouse from BonVieux!

flower hairpin - H&M, blouse - BonVieux, skirt - vintage, bag - CarloRino, sandals - Rubi

Ah.. Now you understand my post title don't you?
Yes.. It was a day where I wear two purchased items from BonVieux.
It is such a darling little online store. You should definitely pay a visit! I bought three items from the store for a discounted price! It was probably the best deal I ever made.. Okay. Slightly exaggerating..
Most of their items are vintage so there is only one piece per item! Go visit their store now! Too much exclamation point? Yeah.. I'm too pumped up.

I'm graduating today.. My Korean class that is..
We all have to wear a pink tee! It has been a long time since I wear a t-shirt in public.
Do follow my twitter for a live-feed ;p
