Hi there!
Just popping in real quick with this beautiful off shoulder dress. I really like how it looks like paired with the choker. Definitely feeling like it's fall with my outfit. So excited that the weather is finally starts to cool down a little.
Wishing everyone a great midweek!
I truly believe you can never be to early in terms of mentally preparing your outfit for any kind of event. So eventhough Thanksgiving is still three months away, I see no harm in preparing what kind of your outfit will be. I took the liberty and pick up a few items from StyleWe and come up with a classy/preppy look that will be perfect for those family/friend dinners. Using green as the main focus because I feel like those colors complements all of the fall colors. I make sure I included a trench coat because November is going to be colder than now. Add a stocking and your favorite boots and you're all set for your THANKSGIVING DAY.
For more options and outfit inspiration you can check out StyleWe Pinterest and blog.
Wishing everyone one productive Monday!
A simple stone bridge for the soul to cross and linger on – is how Sunaryo explained this place to me. Wot Batu is Old Javanese for stone bridge. The words like the stones themselves are rooted in the past. That it is the soul that crosses tells us that for him the bridge is also a metaphor for a spiritual journey.”
Tony Godfrey (Art Writer)
Wot Batu (http://www.wotbatu.id) is an art space that exclusively display stone scluptures by Mr. Sunaryo, a famous sculpter from Bandung. There is an entrance fee of Rp 50.000 (around $3) in which you will get a bouqlet and a warming welcome drink ( a ginger something, it was sweet and hot at the same time). Also, to my surprise, you get a guide that explains all of the meaning behind each art. I tried to keep an open mind throughout the tour but can't help feeling sleepy.
Camera is not allowed, strictly a phone-camera only and there are security that will tell you to not use your camera.
These photos are from two months back so I barely remember which stone has what meaning but Mr. Sunaryo emphasizes a lot about how life is temporary and death is eternal so we must live our lives well and in tune with nature; and to always remember that there is a sky above this sky that we can see (meaning to always stay humble because there is always someone that is better than you).
It's not even October but I'm already itching to take out my orange tops already because orange is the new black, right? And no, I have never watched the TV show. People say it's really good, tho.
I love this Miami Fever lip shade by ColourPop as well. The burnt deep orange is all I want to wear this fall. That and Burberry's Rosewood shade. Maybe I should share with you some of my favorite lipstick shades for fall and winter. But that's for another post.
Wishing everyone a great midweek!
Hi, guys!
The 90s are all the rage with culottes start to be a normal day to day pants once more. Now, we are graced with the comeback of chokers. It has been here for a while and I think fall will be the peak of this choker trend. I still remember the days when I was obsessed with Lizzie McGuire and she rocked chokers like no other. From plastic, lace, to the bedazzled ones, there's no choker Lizzie fear to wear. Obviously, let's steer clear from looking like a blast from the past and donned a more trendy chokers.
Black is always a safe choice and I kinda channeling cowboy/ranger style with the tied up chokers. The effortless way to wear your choker is to wear something that has low neckline, from v-neck to an off shoulder, the choice is yours. Your top doesn't have to be black, but if you're aiming for the "too cool for trends", definitely put on a black top + chokers = I'm cool without trying. Add a bold lipstick and you're all set.
What do you think of this trend? Will you wear chokers?
Hi there!
I thought I share with you about Aeiou Cafe in Singapore before it gets too old. It has been almost a month since I got back from my trip and a lot has happened which I might share with you later. But anyway, Aeiou Cafe is located at 111 King George's Ave, a mere five minutes walk from my hotel.
The facade of this cafe is not very appealing but the inside is pretty cool I must say. There are so many stuff it was kind of confusing at first but as soon as you get used to it, turns out to be cute in a quaint way. The place was relatively full on a Saturday morning as people were having breakfast there. I already had breakfast at the hotel and just want a cup of cappuccino. Which was pretty good but not that good. Included at the end of this post are photos of the menu.
Well, wishing everyone a great weekend!
So the title is "red and white unites" and by red and white, we mean our national flag. My country Indonesia is turning 71 year old today. Not exactly wearing red and white but I found this red wall and thought it will look perfect with my white culotte. Color coordination game still strong!
Anyway, had a really good day perfectly doing nothing on this national holiday and managed to finish The Time Keeper by Mitch Albom. It was a bit different from Five People You Meet in Heaven and Tuesdays with Morrie but I enjoyed it nonetheless. Excited to start reading For One More Day!
Wishing everyone a good midweek.
Metallic lips are all over my media social making me itchy to try this trend. Despite not being very adventurous in terms of make up, I decided to try 3 fun colors that I don't have in my lip collection. The first one is the one that started it all, Kylie Matte Metal Lipstick in Reign. Second is Milani Amore Mattalics Lip Creme in Dramatic Diva. And the third is Cailyn Star Wave Mattalic Lip Tint in Andromeda.
Hello, everyone!
This pretty floral number is what I wore a few weeks back to attend a uni' friend wedding. It was a garden party and I do like the idea (and the fact I get to wear a less formal dress) but I just don't understand why people like outdoor wedding so much? The last three weddings I attended were all garden parties. Is there a trend here? I mean, there's nothing practical about the heavy rain pouring down on you and your guests, not to mention mosquitos, and the worst of all, your heels digging into the soil.
Do excuse the overexposed photos. Honestly, it was too hot and too sunny, I didn't bother to check the photos. Anyway, orange is my favorite color for summer (and fall) because it's just super cheerful and literally brighten up your complexion. This vintage number has a vertical lines all over creating a slimmer silhouette. Talked about the perfect summer dress huh?
Anyway, keeping this post short and sweet. Wishing everybody a good midweek!
Since we are now stepping into August, fall is just around the corner and one of the most favorite transition piece is a maxi dress. Okay, fine, mine is an almost maxi dress since the length hits just above the ankle. This pretty dress is another thrifted find I scored a few weeks back but only got the chance to wear it for strolling around Chinatown last week.
For me, light fabric is a must for those hot summer days but you can layer it with a legging underneath for colder days. Fun prints can be worn for daytime while solid colors are perfect for daytime and with the right accessory, can easily turn into a fancy outfit. That is just how versatile a maxi dress is.
Hey, guys!
Today's post is all about Future World exhibition at Artscience Museum at Marina Bay Sands (yup it's the unique building). All about the MRT station, bus stops, and ticket prices is at the end of this post.
So we went there on a Thursday and the place was nowhere empty. It wasn't crowded but there are enough people to make taking photos difficult. There were no line when we purchased our ticket tho.
Future World is organized into 4 themes : Nature, Town, Park, and Space, each with its own cutting edge science and technology to create constantly evolving environments, which visitors of all ages are invited to explore. As the artworks change with each interaction, each visit to Future World will be uniquely different. The exhibition will also grow and transform over time, with new artworks and attractions adding richness to this stunning digital world.
As promised, my Singapore trip diary. To be honest, looking at these 25 photos, it's more like a food diary! But nonetheless, I hope you guys will enjoy looking at these mouthwatering delicacies and maybe add some places to try on your list.
Our first stop after checking in at the hotel (V Hotel Lavender, I highly recommend it) Wee Nam Kee Chicken Rice restaurant at Marina Square. This one is as good as it looks like in the photo. And it's not expensive at all. If I'm not mistaken, it's around SG$5.
