Last week I went on a hot air balloon ride with Indonesia Terbang. It was a tethered ride, so we actually stayed in one place but it was fun nonetheless; since it was our first time riding a hot air balloon. We are not sponsored in any way, we all paid with our own money.

The ride was 15 minutes so it was too short but then again, the hot air balloon was tethered so there really isn't that much to see anyway. View was lovely since we ride it at Sari Ater.
Price was Rp 500k (around US$35) for per person. I'd say it was an okay price. Not too expensive but not too cheap either. Rides can be cancelled due to bad weather but don't worry, you'll get your money back in full if the ride is cancelled.
The ride was safe since it was an actual pilot who piloted the balloon. Would definitely recommend if you haven't try any hot air balloon ride! Indonesia Terbang will try to do an untethered ride soon and I might actually try that as well in the future.
Some tips for riding hot air balloon :
1. Wear pants since you have to climb in and out of the basket.
2. Wear comfortable shoes since you will be standing the entire ride.
3. If you're phone doesn't have a wide angle camera, get an attachable wide lens before. Space is tight so to take nice pics, the wide angle is very helpful.
