It’s been a minute but I am back with a new post from Jalajiva Bandung. Jalajiva is a recently opened coffee shop located at Jalan Setiabudi Bandung. I have to say, Jalajiva does have a theme and they sure stick to it vey well. It seems to me Jalajiva chose the orange rooftop (genteng oren) that is very much Indonesia core and Jalajiva is really committed to it. As you can see in photo above, even the pathway is made from the crushed orange rooftop.
Ciao, everyone.
Today' post is from the recently opened San Gimignano Bandung. We went to San Gimignano Bandung on a Wednesday and place was surprisingly bustling. Almost all tables were full. We actually seated outdoor for a little bit before we can sit inside. It was that full. We did went to San Gimignano Bandung on a Sunday and it was a bust, place was packed and there was a waiting list, so we decided to eat someplace else. You can say, San Gimignano Bandung is quite a hit these days.
Hi, everyone.
Visited Kamar Nenek Bandung a few days ago. We went on a Monday after lunch so the place was empty except for us and the staff. This place is quite hidden; if you find a house with Frances sign, you are in the right place. To the right side of the main building, there is another building behind it. Go through the plants and you'll find stairs on your right. Kamar Nenek is right above the stairs.
Hi, everyone.
Last month my husband and I went to Maison Teraskita Cafe Bandung located at Jalan Asia Afrika. This cafe is actually an extension of its hotel Maison Teraskita. Went here because I was fascinated with the Parisian vintage cafe vibe this place has and it did not disappoint.
We went on a Monday so the place was basically empty. Only one more family was there.
Hi, everyone. Last week I went on a hot air balloon ride with Indonesia Terbang. It was a tethered ride, so we actually stayed in one place but it was fun nonetheless; since it was our first time riding a hot air balloon. We are not sponsored in any way, we all paid with our own money.
Hi, everyone.
My husband and I went to Nonna Osteria Cafe and Resto located at Jalan Progo Bandung a few weeks ago. This spot used to be Please, Please, Please cafe with their unique pink interior. Now all of the pinks are gone replaced with lots of browns creating a vintage ambience which I do love.
We went there on a Monday and parking was full but inside there were only a few tables filled in. Since the area is quite spacious, we were able to maintain a safe social distancing.
Hi, everyone.
I went to Critical 11 Bandung last week and I thought the place was pretty cool so I had to share. It is basically a big complex with plenty of tenants from food, drinks, and even a tattoo parlor. Pretty cool, right? Critical 11 Bandung is located near Husein Sastranegara International Airport so you just go like you would go to the airport, and a few hundred meters before airport' entrance, you'll find Critical 11 Bandung entrance.
Hi, everyone.
Today post is about this hidden gem in Bandung which is IPAL Bojongsoang. IPAL is a short term for Instalasi Pengolahan Air Limbah; so it is actually a waste water treatment area and it is owned by the government. To get here is not that difficult, just googled IPAL Bojongsoang and it will lead you straight to the place.
There are some off road but not too much. It is accessible by car until some point you do need to walk. But the walk itself is not too far. Kids (age 4 and up) can definitely walk it but be careful since the path is narrow; they might fell into the lake.
You will need to pay; there is a person under an umbrella before you can get to the lake. But we got there pretty early and he wasn't there when we reach IPAL Bojongsoang. The fee is not fix and you pay as much as you want. We did gave some money (ten thousand rupiah) to the security guard who opened the gate for our car.
The view definitely lives up to expectation.
We were blessed with a very blue sky even though it was very very windy.
We got there around 8.30 AM so the sun was actually a welcome warmth against the wind.
As for smell, some area does have a nasty smell. But other areas have no smell at all.
If you like photography then this place is for you! I know that some people took their prewedding photos here since with COVID-19, we can't actually travel abroad.
If you just into nature, then this place is also for you! It is definitely healing to look at the magnificent view. Wouldn't recommend picnic tho since there is not much space. Maybe two to four people can sit but definitely not conducive a big group.
Husband flew our drone for some footage. Please look forward to the video ;)
Hi, guys!
Went to This Is Me Wisata Selfie Bandung located at Jalan Cihampleas last week. Wisata Selfie = Selfie Tourism; seems to be on the rise these days thanks to social media. Basically is one building consists of backdrops for you to take pics. We went there on a Friday afternoon (around 1PM) so the place was basically empty.
Ticket was Rp 35.000 per person (around US$2.5) and as you can see from the map there are about a dozen spots you can take pics in. It opened at the end of 2018. I went in with very low expectations since I read their google review but still very curious about this place.
First of all, I want to apologize for the amount of my face you're about to see in this post.
Hi, everyone.
I am having a terrible headache but I powered through to edit the video. It's my first time using Final Cut Pro since I've been using iMovie for a good while but decided to graduate. Yes I did need some time adjusting and it has been around five hours since I first sat down but I like gaining new skill so here's to more video in the future!
Visited Taste Market last weekend and didn't eat that much food considering we were in a food festival. I'm not sure why. I guess it was the heat (they held it in an underground parking lot so there's no AC or fresh air whatsoever) that makes me too lazy to eat. But anyway, I hope you enjoy this very amateur video and I hope everybody will have a good week ahead.
I guess the title said it all. When you're young, you should go to as much adventures as you can. I find things I would never think of about myself when traveling. Being an adventurer also turns me into a storyteller. I don't talk much especially to people I didn't know but there are so much story to share that it forces me to be able to talk to a complete stranger altogether. I also find traveling makes me a much flexible person :)
This set of photos are from a few weeks ago at Green Forest Bandung wearing the cutest easiest jumpsuit to wear from www.yoins.com
Anyway, have a great Thursday! (Do excuse the excessive photos)
Went to Tebing Keraton last weekend. It was quite a ride to get there so make sure your car's tire is fully equipped! Also, I will suggest to go in the summer and avoid rainy days because when the path (which is pure soil with a little grass here and there) is wet, it gets super slippery! Hence, make sure to wear suitable gear as well. I guess jeans and sporty shoes will be your best option.
Thanks God It's Friday, right? It's weekend at last!
I visited Nanny's Pavillon Home at Jalan R.E. Martadinata in the previous weekend. Nanny's Pavillon first emerged in Bandung around 2009. I remember the garden theme was the first one also located at Jalan R.E. Martadinata. And then library theme at Jalan Setiabudi. No longer after that, barn theme at Istana Plaza Mall. I believed there's a porch theme at Trans Studio Mall. After a few years running, Nanny's Pavillon everywhere starts closing and at April 2014 reopened as one Nanny's Pavillon Home.
Finally I try out having a high tea with my favorite people! I'm not going to do a review because it's not exactly a new place and there are so many great posts about this place already (here is one) and it has been open since 2011. So it's not exactly a newcomer but I was excited to try the high tea set (mine is 2 tier cost 150k rupiah). The cakes tastes okay but the pudding (the orange one) was way too bitter. The cupcakes on the glasses are good. Other than that, it's a satisfying menu for two or three people for exactly around three to five PM.
Miss Bee Providore is a newcomer in Bandung cafe-society. It opened late April 2014 and the place was an instant hits. I do believe it's mostly because of the great advertising by Bandung cafe hoppers! Their tempting brunch pictures popping out everywhere from twitter, instagram, and especially my path timeline. I visited twice already and I'm planning to come back to try for their breakfast menu!
What I wore to meet up with lovely ever so lively Anita from anitaputri.com the other day at Maxi's.
I know, I know, me! In jeans! In color! I was surprised with myself as well.. But I really think it's time to step out of my comfrort zone. The black chiffon studded collar is from Jess, denim jacket is from Scotish, jeans was Mom's, and the black flats was bought in Haji Lane, Singapore.

I was their tour guide for a day! (And was paid by a whole day meal. Yayness!)
The flowery dress was bought in a cute little boutiqe at Chapel Street, Melbourne. The pink blazer is from Forever21. We visited HummingBird, some shopping, and then Verde, and the last one was Sierra to see the city lights <3 p="p">
If you ever visited Bandung, you should go to this places! I personally like the food and the prices are friendly to our pocket. The places are also cozy, wi-fi equipped, and very condusive for taking pictures. You can click on the name of the places for more info.
Anyway, the four days weekend was a pure bliss and I had tons of fun with my friends and my family. So my soul is fully charged but my body is tired beyond my comprehension.
