Hi, everyone. We went to the recently opened Khad’s Corner Bandung on a Saturday for lunch, and Khad’s Corner Bandung was pretty packed! Luckily, we got parking and a table in the indoor dining area of Khad’s Corner Bandung.
Khad’s Corner Bandung has a few different areas, each with its own vibe. Khad’s Corner Bandung dining area where we sat had a cool retro feel, with warm wooden interiors, red booths, and quirky cat illustrations on the walls. Khad’s Corner Bandung dining area was cozy, air-conditioned, and comfortable enough to enjoy a leisurely lunch. Plus, it’s pretty Instagram-worthy.
Next to the dining area is a kids’ corner with little tables, chairs, and toys to keep the little ones entertained. A nice touch if you’re planning to come with the family.
But here’s something I didn’t expect: Khad’s Corner Bandung have an indoor swimming pool, too! 🏊🏻♀️ It’s in a separate area with more of a tropical vibe, quite different from the retro dining room. You can swim for an additional fee, and there’s a shower room available, too.
The other areas have a more open, tropical feel. They look nice, but we found the air to be a little warmer that day compared to the air-conditioned dining area. Personally, I’d choose the retro section for a comfortable lunch, especially if you’re planning to stay for a while.
We ordered three dishes and a watermelon juice. And honestly, all three food items were massive successes.
Kimchi Chicken Parmigiana — IDR 99K
Who knew kimchi, parmigiana sauce, and chicken would make such a ridiculously good combination?!
This was a total flavor bomb. The chicken came with housemade kimchi, tomato sauce, and mozzarella, served with garlic potatoes and a side salad.
The combination was SO good. The tanginess of the kimchi worked surprisingly well with the tomato sauce and melted cheese, making every bite super flavorful. Nothing tasted out of place, and the flavors came together harmoniously.
Honestly, I wasn’t expecting to love this combination as much as I did. It’s one of those dishes where you take a bite and immediately go, Wait, why is this SO good?! 😂
If you’re visiting Khad’s Corner, this is a must-order for me.
Creamy Beef Pasta — IDR 95K
I love steak. I love pasta. So naturally, this dish was right up my alley. It’s basically the best of both worlds!
The spaghetti came with 100 grams of beef tenderloin, Granapadano cream sauce, and cherry tomatoes.
First of all, the beef slices were incredibly tender, cooked to a perfect medium-well, and there was a generous amount of beef on the plate. And yes, it really felt like a proper 100 grams!
The cream sauce was another highlight. It was rich and creamy without being too heavy. You know how some creamy pasta dishes can get a little overwhelming halfway through? This one had just the right amount of creaminess.
Another winner for me. If you’re a steak-and-pasta person like me, you’ll probably love this one, too!
Cheese Bitterballen — IDR 55K
These were incredible too. 🥹
Made with smoked beef, mozzarella, and cheddar cheese, these little bites had the perfect contrast of textures. The outside was super crispy, while the inside was soft, buttery, and creamy.
But the real star? The truffle aioli dipping sauce.
It was VERY truffly and paired beautifully with the cheesy filling. Every bite was delicious, and honestly, I could easily see myself ordering these again.
If you love crispy bites with a rich, cheesy filling, don’t skip this one!
Watermelon Juice - IDR 35k
The watermelon juice was refreshing and perfectly fine, but nothing particularly special. It did its job as a drink to accompany the meal, though!
Final Thoughts: Is Khad’s Corner Worth It?
I’d say yes! For me, Khad’s Corner is worth the price, especially considering how much we enjoyed the food.
All dishes we ordered were equally satisfying in their own ways. At IDR 99K, IDR 95K, and IDR 55K respectively, the dishes aren’t exactly cheap, but the quality and flavors made them worth it for me.
The place itself is also worth mentioning. I loved the retro dining area, and having a kids’ corner and swimming pool makes it more than just somewhere to grab a meal.
Service was good, too! The staff were attentive, and our food came out pretty quickly despite the place being packed on a Saturday afternoon. Always a plus when you’re hungry and ready to dig in. 😂
Would I come back? Absolutely, especially for that Kimchi Chicken Parmigiana. I’m still not over how good that combination was! If you’re looking for a cozy spot for lunch with good food and a fun setting, Khad’s Corner is worth checking out.
Parking was tricky tho. About 6 cars can fit. You might have a better shot parking inside de Java Hotel.
