Went to Brother Chang Resto Bandung earlier today. We got to Brother Chang Bandung around 12PM so eventho parking was packed (we had to valet) but we got a table right away.
Brother Chang Bandung boasts an oriental vintage decor
; all with their use of colorful wallpaper, dark woods, and curated arts. Brother Chang Bandung gives that old Shanghai vibes but with modern touches. Personally, I love their take of this genre of interior design. The ambience is nice, upscale but nothing pretentious.
This is the private bathroom for one of their bigger private dining area. The bigger enclosed dining area seats 10 people easily. Perfect for small gatherings.
The outdoor seating area at the back features a beautiful pond creating a quiet, charming, and peaceful.
Food & drinks came out fast enough. Altho it is unfortunate that Brother Chang Bandung had a few menus that’s not available (yet). We originally want to try Brother Chang’ prawn gyoza but that menu is not yet available (for lunch, I presume).
I ordered Chang Pho (Rp 92k) and it did not dissappoint.
The broth was clear yet deeply aromatic & full of flavour (in a good way not in MSG way), with tender beef and silky rice noodles (cooked perfectly to an al dente). Comforting, flavorful, and incredibly soothing for a cold day.
I just might come back for the beef pho alone.
Husband ordered Brother Chang’ Bone Marrow Fried Rice (Rp 138k). The fried rice had nice smoky flavor and was enjoyable, but personally; for the price point, nothing memorable.
We also ordered Thai Milk Tea with Cream Cheese (Rp 32k). The drink might as well be a dessert since it was creamy and very sweet. No regrets tho! Weekend is the time to enjoy oneself with some sweet treats.
Overall we had a nice time.
All the attending staff were cordial and all smiles.
Could’ve been better with the not available menus yet thing but I guess that is just a reason to come back.
