Hi, everyone.
Went to the recently opened Bite and Bond Bandung. Bite and Bond Bandung offers a two level area dominated with white and soft yellow. Bite and Bond Bandung just opened this week so my husband and I were expecting things to be a little hectic and we also expect there will be some delay to our food. Thankfully, everything went smoothly.
We went to Bite and Bond Bandung on a Saturday for lunch so naturally indoor were packed but second floor (smoking area) had a few seats left. Unfortunately, I forgot to take pics of Bite and Bond Bandung’ 2nd floor. It was small compared to the 1st floor but it was nice to zone out and look at the trees.
Bite and Bond Bandung offered high ceiling and plenty of seats so the whole are does feel spacious. I do like the use of soft yellow here and there.
Since we kinda expected some delay to our food (place was packed when we arrived) we decided to try their pastries first. I tried Bite and Bond’ Strawberry and Cream croissant (Rp 33k). Dare I say it’s as good as Apoli Itabakery in Shanghai?? I mean, the fresh cream and the strawberry combo instantly take me back to my time in Shanghai. So yes that is a compliment. The cream was sweet but balances nicely with the strawberries. The croissant could be more flaky but nothing else to complain.
Husband tried Bite and Bond Bandung’ Korean Garlic Salt Bread (Rp 25k). The garlic cream hits your right away (in a good way). It was savory and the salt bread was soft. Husband approves.
For drink, you can’t order a pastry without some coffee so we tried their signature coffee which is Gula Aren Latte (Rp 37k). It is smooth as the menu advertised. And I personally love the sweetness level, some people who don’t like sweet things might not like it but my husband and I both approve. I might come back just for their Gula Aren Latte..
After 30 minutes, our 1st dish was served. Husband ordered Nasi Goreng Lidah Sambal Ijo (Rp 65k). Upon first bite, we both approves. You really get that balanced sweet and salty and spices from the rice. The tounge was tender, not chewy at all. Also, no strange smell! Which is a big plus. Rice could’ve been more firm, but that’s not a deal breaker for us; we really more of a taste person than texture for fried rice.
My order came out at 40 minutes mark (not bad for a soft opening). I ordered Garlic Chicken Butter Roll (Rp 81k). Thankfully the chicken was cooked well, no chicken smell. I assumed it was the breast part since it’s not juicy. Which is fine since I prefer that part anyway. The highlight is definitely the butter sauce. It was a nice combo of creamy and salty. The chicken itself has nice texture, soft enough for a breast. I would rate this 8/10 since without the chilli sauce, it gets too creamy too fast.
Overall we had a nice time and despite the hectic situation, I think the staff handle things nicely, could’ve been faster, but still very cordial and professional.
We are thinking of coming back on a weekday since we are kinda curious with their Tropical Mango Coconut Sphere.
Parking wasn’t bad. Fits about 8-10 cars.
