February Favourites

Hi, guys!
I am feeling proud of myself that for once in a very long time I finally post a favourites post on time. But anyway, February has been pretty good and I got some new stuff from my travel to Singapore last month. Without further ado, here are a few of my favourite things in the second month of 2019.

First up is this double hearts necklace I got from Lovisa. Some people thought it was a Valentine gift from my husband and I wish that's true, but it wasn't. While my husband is a very kind and loving man, he is not very good at gifting. I always told him all I want for V-Day are flowers and chocolate because you just can't mess that up! LOL.

Back to the necklace, I love it because even tho a heart-shaped pendant is nothing new, I love the fact that it has two different textures. I feel that makes it very unique. And also, the heart shape is perfect for this month of love.

These flowers are so beautiful and the fact that it has this heart shape make it looks even more adorable! While fake flowers are just as beautiful there's something vulnerable and delicate about fresh flowers. It makes me appreciate them more.

This bow bag strap is definitely a favourite this month! I have been having a thing with bows lately, I don't know why. I mean, I used to be in that "I LOVE BOWS" phase a few years back and now it comes back; altho in a less intense way. I guess bows just make everything more feminine and it can be done in a classy way. The embroidery detail is also really pretty.

I got this Pony Make Up lipstick in Saturday Morning and it's such a perfect shade for upcoming spring and summer. It has a flattering coral shade with a glossy finish; which makes this lipstick very comfy on the lip. Altho they don't have great staying power. You definitely need to reapply after eating.

This book "The Things You Can See Only When You Slow Down" by Haemin Sunim is definitely a favourite this month! It's such an easy read but it's something that you need to digest, you know? Each chapter contains a short essays and beautiful illustration then it continues with short paragraphs (kinda like a poem?) that forces you to think about what the essay has explained.
It is an inspiring book to well, slow down and be more mindful in living your life. Reading it makes me feel peaceful, mindful, and grateful that I am currently alive. For a full effect, definitely read one chapter at a time and really process it over before moving on to the next chapter.

Last one but surely not the least is The Umbrella Academy series. It's about kids who were born all at the same day and then turns out to have superpowers. All seven of them were adopted by an eccentric billionaire that trains them to be superheroes. I watched the first episode and wasn't really impressed but then about a week later I came back and try to stick through the first episode and was intrigued. Now that I'm done watching Season 1, I am officially hooked.
While the first few episodes feel slow, the last four episodes were so good I can't stop watching them. The soundtrack is gold, in my opinion. So perfect for this quirky and grim show. Also I need to mention the acting of Aidan Gallagher for portraying a 58 year old man was just brilliant.
If you like Arrow or Gotham or The Punisher, definitely try watching this!

Thank you so much for reading and wishing everyone a great weekend ahead.
