I'm a bit hesitant to write this mainly because the interior of this place is super industrial. LOL. It's difficult for me to get excited about anything that is too industrial and too rugged. What can I say, I like the finer things in life. But you guys don't care about that so here is a post about Sejiwa located at Jalan Progo no. 15, Bandung.
We went there on a Thursday afternoon and the place was packed. We actually roamed around for 10 minutes before we get our table. Another thing, all of the waiter/waitress were busy so we were pretty much left to our own. Luckily before we exit, one of the waitress offer us a seat since a couple just left. Oh, upstairs is smoking area so even though there was a table available upstairs, I refuse to sit there because I'm fussy and I love my healthy smoke-free lungs.
This is the only photo I took in second floor.
We ordered Truffle Fries (30k) and a hot Caramel Macchiato (38k). They came out relatively fast? I don't know, we were too busy discussing our pre-wedding outfits to noticed how long until the food came out. The truffle fries were good, nothing ground breaking tho. The caramel macchiato was so small and so bitter, I had to request ice and sugar. After a little mixing it tastes real good, tho! I supposed I should've ordered the iced version but I was trying to be hip and millennial; nothing is more on trend than a latte art, right? Unfortunately my taste buds is not hip nor millennial.
Another thing I must mention, the place was really really hot. Like a sauna or some sort. I'm sure the weather that day had some factor in it but the poor air conditioning is undeniable. I don't think the architect think this through. If you're going to build a glass house, you'll bet it's going to be hot inside, so you must compensate with stellar air conditioning. Needless to say, I don't feel the need to come back again.
