February Favourites

Hi, guys!
I know you probably tired of hearing this, but I don't have that many stuff this month. But hey, at least I post on time! If you read my previous post, it has been a pretty busy month for me so I haven't really bought anything new. The eyeshadow palette, liquid lipstick, and the book were all pre-ordered stuff from January. While the nail polish I had for about a few months. But without further ado, here are a few things that I have been loving in the month of February.

It's actually a bit cheating since I received this in the mail on February 12th so it's only been two weeks of me playing around with this. And since I don't really wear make up on a daily basis, I've only worn this twice but holy smokes I LOVE it. This Dream St. palette is a collaboration with a youtuber, Kathleen Lights, and I love her so so much. She's the most genuine, kindest youtuber ever. But anyway, this palette has 12 shades with 6 mattes,  5 mettalics, and 1 satin. First of all, the colours are gorgeous. It's that delicious warm tones that goes really well with my warm skin tone. Second, the pigmentation is insane. It's sooo good and blends beautifully. Third, it's so affordable! For $16, it's worth every penny. It is currently in stock too on the website

Beside the palette, Kathleen also releases three lip colours which is Moon Child (a pinky nude lipgloss), Dreamy (a peachy pink satin lip), and Rever (a neon orange red satin lip). I bought the bundle and tried all of them. I'm not the biggest fan of lipgloss, I don't know why. But I have so many mattes lipstick and zero lipgloss so I thought, why not. I also don't have an orange red lip colour so Rever sounds like a good idea. But oh my, Dreamy is dreamy. I like that it's not too bold for a smoky eyes but it's not too soft when you had only eyeliner and blush on. It's so comfy and the most important part, it doesn't bleed! I had two other ultra satin lip that has the most beautiful pink shades but it bleeds pretty bad so I rarely use those two. But this one, I've been wearing them a lot, even on a daily basis, I just tap a lot of the colour on tissues to get that really natural colour. Oh and also, how pretty is the new packaging? Love the little stars.

So I was trying on Rever (just in my room) and I thought "hmm . . . this lip colour will look so perfect with my OPI Can't Tame A Wild Thing" since both has that strong orange under tone and guess what? They do. I actually wore Rever and this nail colour for Lunar New Year (not the one I posted; since I took that photos a month before) and got a compliment from my aunt. Definitely not for they shy tho since it's so bold and I also had a red top that day. So  . . . yeah, I was embracing being a Chinese in a full force.

Okay, is it bad that I was hoping all they hype was wrong? But it was all true, you guys. ALL TRUE. I usually had a pretty bad breakouts on my chin and mouth area during that time of the month but in the past two months, I had zero breakouts. Well not zero, I had two little lump and bump but it's so small compare to what it's used too. I do believe this St. Ives Apricot Scrub really do deeply exfoliates and clean your skin. The beads are just the right shade and I use this twice a week focusing on the chin area. And they smell really good too.

I had a nice experience with my Kiehl's eye serum so I went back and tried this Clearly Corrective Dark Spot Solution for well, my dark spots. You know what, I don't see that much difference with my dark spots; but ,I have uneven skin tone around my forehead due to my bangs always on the left side and I do feel like they are getting more even. I'm looking forward to see in the next month if it's going to help with my dark spots!

I seriously don't know where to start with this book. It was a slow start, I think I sort of just breezed through the first three or four chapters but the longer I read it, the more I got invested in all of the characters. I can't remember the last time when I wish all the characters have a happy ending but I did in this book. I was rooting pretty hard for Pearl but then she got all bitchy so I was rooting for Mia, but then Mia had this dark past so I was rooting for Elena but then again she was mean to Izzy so I was rooting for Izzy but then again, she did burned down a whole house. I mean, dramatic much? And then there's this battle between Bebe and The Richardsons. Honestly, I ended up just rooting for May Ling. I wish her a happy life wherever she might end up.
But anyway, this book is unexpectedly good. I had a hard time putting it down and finished the whole book in less than a week. Which says a lot since I usually finish a novel in about two or three weeks time. If you like stories where you don't know who's the good guys is, then you should definitely read this book.

This movie needs no introduction. Black Panther was everything that we all wanted and more. Besides the story, the mind blowing CGI, and the amazing set, I truly appreciate the female power we got all over the movie. Cause who run the world? It's girls.

Anyway, that's pretty much it for February Favourites. I hope you all had a great month and wishing everyone a lovely week ahead.
