ColourPop She Palette Review

Happy Valentine, guys!
Or Galentine, if you're still single, which is totally cool. I actually loved being single. It has so many perks such as you have all this free time to do anything, to wear anything, to eat anything as you please without your significant other blurted out comments that most often than not, bruised your ego. But you know, being married is super fun too. It's like slumber party every night. All in all, just be grateful for what you have.
Anyway, that is a very long introduction. I'm here to talk about ColourPop She Palette from Fem Rosa Collection; which is a collaboration with Karrueche  (American actress & model). I know I'm late to the game since this palette was launched last July but these shades are so perfect for Valentine that I couldn't resist to pick up one last January.

So this is my very first palette from ColourPop and I have to say that I am very pleased with it. It's not as pigmented as I thought it would be but I actually like that. Especially for beauty novice like me, you'd want to build the colours instead of one crazy pigment in one swipe which can be really hard to fix.

All colours have good pigmentation except for Babe. Somehow I had a hard time to make the colour pops (pun intended). But a little setting spray and it's all good in pinky-land. They do have a lot of fallout and kickback but I don't mind that. I do need to mention that for Gal, it feels a bit chalky, not as buttery as others. The mattes perform really well too. They all warm tones which suits well with my neutral-warm skin tone.

Created this look for a first trial and not so bad right? I personally like it since I don't have any eyeshadows in my collection that will create such red pinky eye look.

Crease : Duchess first and then Dear to deepen it
Outer corner : Missy
All over the lid : Filly; but it was too peachy so I top it with Gal
Inner corner & Under Eyebrow : Babe

On the rest of the face
Benefit Porefessional Matte Rescue Primer
Tarte Shape Tape Concealer
The Face Shop Designing Eyebrow Pencil
Coty Airspun Extra Coverage Setting Powder
Anastasia Beverly Hills Contour Palette
Benefit Blush in Dallas? I honestly forget which colour but it was from Cheekaton Palette
Lime Crime Liquid Lipstick in "Bleached"

And please ignore my badly-needed-a-retouch hair roots. I had them done last week but this set of pics are from the end of January. I actually did another eye look with Damsel on the crease & outer V, and then just Gal all over lid, and I LOVE IT. Unfortunately, I forgot to take pics of it. I must say, despite being chalky, it's the most beautiful coppery pink colour with the most perfect metallic sheen.

Anyway, this palette is no longer available on ColourPop website (which I got for $16) but I found it on Amazon for like, third time the price. So unless you really really want it, I would suggest to just get Anastasia Renaissance for $42.

Well, wishing everyone a nice Valentine's Day!
