Hi, guys!
With new normal is in full swing now, we are required to wear mask at all times whenever we leave the house. And as a woman, I know it can be tricky to wear your make up under the mask. I break down six make up tips for wearing mask in this post. I believe with these steps, you can minimize the amount of make up smudging on your mask.
I don't really do that much make up on a weekday basis. I do a full face make up on weekend but weekdays are pretty basic. But even on those weekdays there are just some items that I seem to gravitate to and use well . . . almost everyday. Safe to say, I always stock up on these items, since as millennials say these days, they are my "ride or die" make up items. I also listed an alternative-more -budget-friendly option that I happen to love as well.
Happy Valentine, guys!
Or Galentine, if you're still single, which is totally cool. I actually loved being single. It has so many perks such as you have all this free time to do anything, to wear anything, to eat anything as you please without your significant other blurted out comments that most often than not, bruised your ego. But you know, being married is super fun too. It's like slumber party every night. All in all, just be grateful for what you have.
Anyway, that is a very long introduction. I'm here to talk about ColourPop She Palette from Fem Rosa Collection; which is a collaboration with Karrueche (American actress & model). I know I'm late to the game since this palette was launched last July but these shades are so perfect for Valentine that I couldn't resist to pick up one last January.
Hi, guys!
As promised, the make up and hair I wore on my red dress look in the last post. I mentioned in the last post that I go all out including falsies. This is not a tutorial tho, just to give you some idea on what kinda make up you'd want to wear for Christmas.
Hi, guys!
I had my K-Pop fan girl moment for about two years; back when I was in uni (boy, that was over five years ago). So I am quite familiar with Korean make up and I was actually a loyal user of The Face Shop BB Cream. But that phase over when thesis period came (I wore zero make up on weekdays and on weekend the bare minimal, powder & blush on : MAC, eyebrow & eyeliner : Dolly Wink, and Bodyshop tinted lip balm) and when I graduated, I just completely forgot about all the boy bands and the girl bands.
But anyway, I noticed there are plenty of American vs Korean Make Up videos online and it did tingled me a little bit. I have completely immersed in American (some people say Western) make up for the past three years so I thought it would nice to switch things up a little bit and did a Korean make up for today's look.
Hi, guys!
I'm pretty excited about this post mostly because I have never reviewed a palette before. Also probably because I had my first cup of coffee in the past two weeks. Anyway, Tarte launched this Tarte Clay Play Face Shaping Palette at the end of May this year and I didn't know about its existence until I saw it on an instagram post late July. I have been wanting a palette for my travels, so when I saw this, I immediately purchase it. I wish there's a blush in here, it would have been so perfect.
This Tarte Clay Play Face Shaping Palette retails at $46 which is a pretty darn good deal, IMHO. It's my third palette from Tarte. I absolutely LOVE Tartelette in Bloom, it's the palette that I always bring with me whenever I travel. I like Tarteist Pro as well, I found the pinkish shades are so fun to wear whenever I want to switch things up, but not like, too crazy.
Hi, guys!
It's been quite a while since I did a beauty related post so I thought I started again with this local brand called SASC abbreviated from Socially Aware Sexy Cosmetic. Not sure how I feel about the name.. It's not catchy in any way and it's kinda tricky to spell; but I do love their packaging. They have a bundle available consists of 5 different shades but that one sold out so I purchased three colours individually but they sent it in this pretty box. It claims to be cruelty free and paraben free.
Hi, guys!
I don't mean to brag but I got questions all the time about "what kind of powder do you use?" or "how is your make up still look good after a whole day outside?"
So I thought I put one nice post about those two questions and to answer it, I basically have to explain about my everyday make up routine tho. Which is pretty simple really. The whole thing, with curling the end of my hair a little bit, only take about 30 mins.
Hi, guys!
Tomorrow is Valentine's Day and if you're still looking for the perfect lip colour to complement your meticulously planned outfit, I have five shades for you to choose for. Stila Stay All Day Liquid Lipstick in Boci, Rubino, Fresco, Patina, and Bacca are ready to complete your V-day look.
Hi, guys!
In this post I will talk about some make up items that I've finished using.
I actually love all of them. I really thought I would have at least one item that I don't like but I repurchased them all.
I've collected these in the past three to four months and yeah, these are good stuff!
Metallic lips are all over my media social making me itchy to try this trend. Despite not being very adventurous in terms of make up, I decided to try 3 fun colors that I don't have in my lip collection. The first one is the one that started it all, Kylie Matte Metal Lipstick in Reign. Second is Milani Amore Mattalics Lip Creme in Dramatic Diva. And the third is Cailyn Star Wave Mattalic Lip Tint in Andromeda.
Apologies it took quite some time from my high end highlighter post to this one! I was having too much fun with my Mary Lou and Opal highlighters. Here are my drugstore highlighters :
City Color Highlight Trio
OFRA You Dew You Highlighter
elf Baked Highlighter in Moonlight Pearls
elf Baked Highlighter in Blush Gems
NYX HD Blush in Soft Spoken
NYX Liquid Illuminator in Sunbeam
What time is it? Summertime, it's all vacation! (High School Musical fan forever here)
Can't help but to always sing that song like a total goof when it's June. Anyway, it's finally summer and we all want to achieve that beautiful healthy summer-glow. I have only been using highlighter in the past two months but I have been loving it so much I think you can categorized me as a highlighter hoarder (especially drugstore ones). Obviously you only need one or two highlighter and you're good for the next two years because there are a lot of product even in just a single highlighter.
Today I will be talking about this ah-mazing liquid lipstick that I have been using for pretty much every occasion be it just an everyday look or a fancy weekend vibe. As you can probably guess already, I'm talking about OFRA Long Lasting Liquid Lipstick. If you're not familiar with this brand, it's totally understandable because this brand is not exactly popular here in Indonesia. I don't think OFRA have a counter in Indonesia but it's really booming in United States. OFRA is an United States product so it has reliable quality control.
They recently repackage their liquid lipstick and I do like this upgrade. It looks more sturdy, more expensive but there is no price increase. Oh, also, they give us more content! I'm not sure by how much but the new one is bigger. I noticed the new release ones have slightly better formulation. It says liquid but it's still on the creamy side so application is easy. Light color ones require at least two layers but for Atlantic City and Miami Fever, I'm usually good with just one layer. It's not drying but its completely matte altho it's not completely kiss-proof especially Atlantic City and Miami Fever. Those two feels like a regular lipstick altho it looks matte, but it still leaves lip mark on glasses. It is long lasting but I swore by Lime Crime in terms of the longest wear.
Hi, there!
I'm back with another review of a liquid lipstick. My Lime Crime post drives traffic twice as my blog usually has when it went live so I guess I'll be doing more beauty related posts in the future.
The Balm Meet Matt(e) Hughes Long Lasting Liquid Lipstick (man, it is a mouthful! let's abbreviate it to The Balm's) is relatively new compared to Lime Crime. I mean, Lime Crime is sort of the pioneer of matte liquid lipstick in a way. However, I actually like The Balm's more than Lime Crime's. The formulation is leaning toward creamy while Lime Crime ones is more liquid (and runny in application!). I thank God for the creamy-ness because that makes applying this one is much less terrifying and require less skill (YES!)
Updated Sept 21st 2016 : I added Charming shade!
I know there are tons of reviews already out there but I thought I share with you my thoughts about this much hyped liquid lipstick from a make-up newbie perspective! Liquid lipstick is some sort of revolutionary thing for me since I usually use traditional lipstick which is a much easier item to use. If you're not used to it, liquid lipstick can be tricky to apply.
So I heard about Lime Crime around two years ago from a friend who is a make-up enthusiast, but at that time I stick to my good ole lipstick because I just wasn't really into make-up. Now that I'm trying to be more excited about make-up, I decided to get one and first, I chose Bleached, which is a new shade, I believe. It's the softest prettiest nude pink and it's the easiest to apply from the all three I have.
In past few months I have been trying to be more into make up and spent over than half of my paycheck purchasing the items I needed. As it turns out, make up requires A LOT of stuff. However, I am happy to say that I almost covered the basics! I am by no mean an expert, if any, I am a novice in this area but I thought I share with you a few of my looks. In the last two months, I have watched probably more youtube videos than I have ever watched in a year...
So, left one is a natural "no make up" make up. Middle one is a bit more of a night out look. Far right is sort of a chill weekend look focusing on lips. (Details on what I use on Read More :))
Anyway, I have figured out that my curtains make the best background for a selfie with perfect natural lighting! Plain curtains are the best ones, like mine's here, but you can also opt for a
beige and silver striped
living room curtains like this one from
CTWOTOP. Those silver stripes are just so elegant combined with the beige color and it will totally bring the best out of your living room or any other room, really. Not to mention, curtains also very useful to block out heat and lights, obviously.
