Hi, blogsphere!
Took an impromptu leave for a week from the blog and feeling very much refreshed! I hope everybody had a nice new year's eve because I sure did :)
I thought I start the year with my favourite type of post (altho the least popular type of post here) which is an outfit post. Wore this cropped and fringed lace top on the last day of the year. Pretty much dancing away the rest of 2016. So much details going on with this top from the polkadot tile on neckline, to the lace, to the fringes, that it quickly become a favourite. Paired it with a knee length culotte for a relaxed vibe to make this top slightly more casual.
Anyway, as I said in my previous post, I am cutting back on blogging. My 3 posts-a-week schedule will be 2 posts-a-week now. The schedule will be as per usual; Monday, Wednesday, and Friday. So I will put up my posts around those three days. I do hope this is only temporary because I still enjoy blogging very much. It' nice to just sit in front of my laptop and type away; disconnected from the reality and it's just me and my keyboard. But anyway, real life is calling and I must prioritise, like the adult that I am.
Wishing everyone an amazing year ahead!
For some reason I really really wanted a gold rimmed spectacles last month. I do have a prescribed glasses in a black frame but I've seen lighter frames all over my favourite bloggers so I decided to get one. I wasn't sure if I was going to pull off this kind of frame so I look for cheaper ones online. Believe it or not, this gold rimmed spectacles was only $10 (I bought it at instagram store @karamata_id ) and it starts to grow on me. This does remind me of grandma's glasses but that's why I like it even more!
And yes, don't we all love to shop online. You can search literally anything from the comfort of your bed or your chair. Really, you can do shopping from anywhere these days. And if you're like me, who LOVE online shopping, you can't miss
Singles Day and
Harbolnas at Zalora. From 11th to 14th November, you can enjoy awesome discounts from your favourite brands. And if you miss that, worry not! There is a second chance for you to get your favourite brands with great sale from 10th to 12th December. Your welcome, ladies and gentlemen. Now set up your phone alarm on both dates!
So the title is "red and white unites" and by red and white, we mean our national flag. My country Indonesia is turning 71 year old today. Not exactly wearing red and white but I found this red wall and thought it will look perfect with my white culotte. Color coordination game still strong!
Anyway, had a really good day perfectly doing nothing on this national holiday and managed to finish The Time Keeper by Mitch Albom. It was a bit different from Five People You Meet in Heaven and Tuesdays with Morrie but I enjoyed it nonetheless. Excited to start reading For One More Day!
Wishing everyone a good midweek.
Monday requires putting on your favorite dark colored blazer and feel like the lady boss that you are. As for the pink peplum, I really want to wear pink these days because people around me are in Japan right now and their feeds are filled with beautiful cherry blossoms. In case you haven't, check out my trip to Japan last year by clicking
Japan Travelogue :)
Well, wishing everyone a great Tuesday!
Put on a black top and a grey culotte the other day for a day around at an expo. Neutral on neutral has been on repeat lately. Easy peasy and always looking chic with this kind of color palette.
The past few weeks have been a very lazy week for me! Whenever I had free time, I resorted to my favorite TV show (The Big Bang Theory, anyone?) or playing games on my ipad (Star Chef is quite time consuming, guys). Altho I have been taking photos for the blog, I seemed to be more interested with a marathon and cooking virtual soups, instead of editing and typing. However, I'm forcing myself to actually sit in front of my laptop and getting a post done. And it does feel good being productive!
Well thank you for listening to rambling and wishing you a great week ahead.
vintage blouse - thrifted // culottes - Helo Strangers
mini antigona bag - Givenchy // sandals - Vincci // watch - Daniel Wellington
Do excuse the lack of post. It might be the rainy season that has made me so lazy. It also might be my little newborn nephew is too cute, he distracts me whenever I have a free time. And maybe, it's just life ;)
Finally had a chance to wear my thrifted red top (can you believe it costs me only US$2?) I got from Bangkok. Was going to pair it with my green skirt but again, I was too lazy to navigate my way with a skirt. LOL. A culotte has been my go to bottom choice these days. They are just so practical not to mention tres chic.
Well, wishing everyone a great week ahead!
P.S. people told me I look super Christmas-y.. Can you blame me? It's the most wonderful time of the year! So there it is, a vintage Christmas outfit.
