Christmas Outfit Ideas 2017

T'is the season to party! And I might be a little late to the game but you still have a week to shop for the perfect Christmas outfit no matter what the occasion. Here I'll break down four Christmas Outfit Ideas for 2017 that both current and chic but classic at the same time.

Family Gathering / Church on Christmas Eve

A little white dress will make sure you'll look like the angel that you have been in the past year. If your family on the dressier side, you can rock a white dress like I did without hesitation altho if your family more on the casual side, you can opt for a white blouse and jeans. It never fails.

A white dress will also be perfect for church. Choose a dress with little details like my polkadot tile on the neckline and lace trim for a look that is both proper but not too covered. I paired my white outfit with nude block heels and a coloured bag to anchor the whole look. Since it's the angelic vibe we are aiming for, toned down on your jewellery and keep your make up natural with a barely there shadow and a pink lip.

Casual Christmas Party

Let confess, we do love our festive sweater and jumpers. Kick it up a notch by pairing your beloved sweater with a suede skirt for a major fashion point. I also make sure my shoes are holiday ready with a little sparkle. I can imagine this outfit in a friendly setting like a house party with your inner circle or just hanging out with your whole family on Christmas day. If you live in colder country, simply layer it with stockings. Don't forget your favourite reindeer headband!

Office Christmas Party

Okay, I struggled a little bit on this since my work place is pretty casual (shirt and pants and flats will do) but I'm sure bigger companies have a strict dress code. A velvet top with a low V neck and belt detailing paired with your work pants should do the trick. Velvet fabric will bring that festive feel (extra point for Christmas colours like red or maroon or deep green) but the pants and heels will still very office appropriate.
I'm not so sure about the tassel earrings but I guess it's okay to wear them just for the party. Maybe not for the meeting tho. I keep my make up very natural as well but you can benefit with a maroon lip colour as soon as the working hour is over.

Christmas Cocktail Party / Date Night

Got this red dress from Zara and I'm pretty sure they are still available altho sizes are going super fast. This the last piece on my size in the nearest Zara store from my apartment. For you who are going to a party that's a tad more fancy, a red dress is your saving grace. This dress has a sateen sheen so it's a bit more dressy and perfect for special occasion.
I paired this dress with a black blazer since it's too revealing for my cup of tea but also for warmth. Red tassel earrings are a fun finishing touch and I make sure I take out my blinged out shoes (which is actually my wedding shoes that I wore for Holy Matrimony) for that holiday sparkle. Santa hat is optional.
I also go all out on my make up complete with falsies. Worry not, this make up look is coming up on my next post :)

Well I do hope you find this post helpful. Wishing everyone a great week ahead!
